Timothy’s Dedication August 23, 2009
Posted by Joe in Faith, Family.trackback
Last Sunday, we dedicated our ten month old, Timothy, in our Church.
If you’re not familiar with the tradition of baby dedications, it’s a ceremony where we, the parents, acknowledge God’s sovereignty not only in our lives but in the life of our child as well. Before our church family we pray to God, asking for His grace and wisdom in raising our child. We also pray that our child might one day trust Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Our Church family also promises to help us to raise our child in a loving and Christ-centered environment. It’s a joyous day for everyone.

We did that with our son as well. He sure looks like his sister!!!!
I can’t express how much it meant to me to be a small part of that beautiful ceremony. Timothy did so well considering how sick the little fellow was. He’s a real trooper and I love him and all of his siblings so much. I am blessed to have two wonderful children with wonderful spouses and beautiful grandchildren. God is so good!
God is so good! He has blessed us immeasurably!
Timothy really is a sweet one- poor guy was being so nice even with flu (we didn’t yet realize that at the time) and an ear infection.
Notice the beautiful Grams original he is wearing for the occasion too. Sweet, yet masculine. Maybe she can send us a close up picture for us to post. It was so lovely!
