All Knees and Elbows July 2, 2006

Posted by Laura in Uncategorized.

Remember those cute little chicks from a couple of months ago?  Well, they are adolescents now, with all the awkwardness that goes along with it.  They are mostly feathered, but the Spanish in particular still have tufts of downy fuzz that stick out like they have unruly cowlicks all over them.

Some of those chicks were especially chosen because they lay the much-coveted chocolate-colored eggs.  But only the females, of course.  And, wouldn’t you know it?  Most of those chicks turned out to be cockerels!  They look like miniature ostriches, too-  all legs.  Oh well-  Joe is already imagining how tasty they’ll be.
