Overheard… October 6, 2007

Picture this:
Family gathered around the table. Four members with heads bowed; one baby extolling the virtues of toast in her highchair.
Father (Joe): … and Lord, we thank you for the delicious food we are are about to eat. Make us bold so that we can be salt and light in this world. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Daughter (Rachel): Daddy, why did you pray for God to make us bald?
Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings…… =) That is so cute.
How funny! I love those kind of moments in life that you just know will live forever in family lore.
I shared that story with so many at church Sunday. Everyone loved it! It hasn’t been that long since you’ll donated your hair and now Daddy is praying for all to be bald!
I’m thankful that God understood my request better than Rachel; we all still have our hair.
